The second installment of my exploration in immersive drag / art installation / monologue / studio visit. I am collaborating with sound artist / DJ Jess Ramsay. This particular performance will talk about how language is failing to accurately and authentically describe our experiences. The idea came from my reaction to Trump’s 2019 tweets against 4 congresswomen of color and my inability in the moment to form words. Also thinking of how this applies to the Glbtqia+ community and how our language universe is expanding but is still never quite right with the terms we’ve been given. We look to explore the space between words and the explosion and disintegration and melting of language.
